Project Description

We are thrilled to share with our readers what is sure to be another fascinating online seminar organized by FEUP. The Monforte Heritage Seminars and Workshop are hosting their Summer Solstice session on June 30th at 12:00 noon (GMT+1).

The fact that the seminar is online and only lasts a few hours should make it easily accessible to anyone interested. However, don’t let the short program lull you into thinking that the seminar won’t tackle complex and interesting topics. The seminar’s main focus is on expertise and major lessons around challenging interventions in historic urban centers.

ASDEA’s technical director Guido Camata was invited to present in his role as Professor at the University of Chieti-Pescara and his capacity as a well-known expert in the subject area being discussed. His presentation entitled Vulnerability assessment and State-of-the-Art strengthening strategies for heritage structures will discuss the state-of-the-art methodology currently used to assess vulnerability, repair/strengthen heritage structures, and monitor the effectiveness of interventions via structural sensors and Artificial Intelligence algorithms. Some of the work and projects developed at ASDEA regarding heritage structures will be featured in the presentation.
