Client: Tirone-Lombardi Family

Surrounded by greenery, Villa Abbati-Tirone was built between 1700 and 1800 by the noble Tirone family.

The Villa has a compact structure in its lower part with two side wings that project the building upwards to the tower. Around the back, there are two large buildings which were constructed for use as farmhouses. Following the 2016 earthquake, the buildings were severely damaged. The villa and one of the farmhouses were the subjects of ASDEA’s intervention.

The project’s objectives were only for the completion of local repairs and strengthening interventions because, since 2004, the property has been under regulation by the Superintendence of Archaeology, Fine Arts, and Landscape of Abruzzo (SABAP-Abr).

Today, the Tirone-Lombardi family owns the Villa; however the portraits, paintings, and furniture inside the Villa represent the histories of both the Abbati family and the Tirone of Agnone family.

When working on a project, ASDEA leaves no stone unturned and attempts to give our clients solutions for even the smallest details. To this end, we collaborated with light designer Danilo Castaldi to design an illumination scheme for the Villa to best highlight its features.
